Only showing what’s been revealed up to your current progress. Future events, identities, and relationships are hidden.

Overview

Nadine is a rider cadet added to Violet Sorrengail’s Second Squad after Threshing.

Book I · Ch. 20

She survives her first year at Basgiath and is one of five remaining first-years from the eleven who passed through the squad.

Book II · Ch. 4

Early in second year, Nadine is dead, reducing the squad’s surviving second-years to four and leaving an unused fifth bed in their chamber.

Book II · Ch. 23

Appearance

In second year, Nadine has purple-dyed hair.

Book II · Ch. 5

Personality and Behavior

Among her second-year squadmates, Nadine jokes easily about Chantara, inter-quadrant fraternizing, Basgiath’s dating pool, and her own imaginary prospects as an executive officer.

Book II · Ch. 9

Relationships

Nadine initially voices suspicion when Garrick and Bodhi, both marked Tyrrish riders, are used as witnesses against Amber. Ridoc challenges the bias by pointing out that Amber is also from Tyr but is not marked.

Book I · Ch. 20

Violet connects Nadine’s hostility toward marked ones to Nadine’s home village on the northern border of Deaconshire and Tyrrendor, though she does not excuse it. During the same mission, Nadine still follows Imogen’s command despite that hostility.

Book I · Ch. 25

By second year, Nadine interacts comfortably with Imogen, a visible change from her earlier hostility toward rebellion relics.

Book II · Ch. 5

Abilities and Skills

Nadine’s signet is unweaving wards, and she uses it to open the protections on General Sorrengail’s office.

Book I · Ch. 25

Important Events

During second-year assessment day, a first-year assassin asks for Sorrengail, and Nadine jokingly claims to be Violet because of her purple hair. He grabs her head and snaps her neck, killing her before Rhiannon, Sawyer, and Dain take her body from the mat.
