Overview
Among the seven High Lords, the ruler of the Dawn Court first enters the story as one of those who pool their power to bring Feyre back after Amarantha’s fall.
The Dawn Court's High Lord is named Thesan.
By the time of the High Lords' summit, Thesan hosts the gathering at his mountain palace and readies Dawn for war against Hybern by backing Nuan's antidote production, promising shipments, and mobilizing his Peregryn forces.
Later, when Rhys cannot be saved by ordinary healing, Thesan adds his spark to the High Lords' restoration attempt and shows Feyre how to form the life-seed so she can contribute her own power.
Appearance
The High Lord of the Dawn Court is notably radiant, glowing more brightly than the other High Lords gathered after Amarantha's death.
Personality and Behavior
Thesan handles tense diplomacy with courtesy and practical restraint. He avoids pressing Rhys about his wings, insists that trust and shared plans require proof, and repeatedly redirects personal clashes toward preparations for war.
Relationships
Thesan's lover stands openly at his side during the High Lords' summit, where he is visible as a captain in Dawn's service.
Abilities and Skills
The High Lord of the Dawn possesses powerful healing magic. The portion of that power given to Feyre when she was remade remains strong enough in her blood to cure Rhys of bloodbane poisoning.
Thesan personally treats Azriel's severely damaged back and wings. His expertise with Peregryn wings does not translate cleanly to Illyrian anatomy, limiting how quickly and completely he can repair the injuries.
Important Events
Thesan hosts the High Lords' summit at his mountain palace and prepares Dawn for the war against Hybern. He arranges mass production of Nuan's faebane antidote, promises shipments to every High Lord and army, and orders his Peregryn forces to mobilize under their captain.
Dawn's Peregryns fight beside the Illyrians in the aerial battle against Hybern. After the Cauldron scatters the allied formations, the surviving Peregryns regroup among the Illyrian ranks and charge again.
When ordinary healing cannot revive Rhys, Thesan contributes his spark to the High Lords' collective restoration attempt. He also teaches Feyre how to form the life-seed that allows her to add her own power.
