Isle Kingdoms

Overview
The isle kingdoms are known in Navarrian historical material, which names them among the allies in the Great War.
Aretia's broader Battle Brief map presents the isle kingdoms as multiple islands surrounding the Continent in every direction.
During the search connected to irids and Asher Sorrengail's research, the isles matter as a distant source of records, weapons lore, and possible contacts beyond Navarre's broken channels.
Important Events
Jesinia finds a missing-journal clue suggesting that an outside isle may have supported the Second Krovlan uprising.
The isle route overtakes Grady's northward-only plan for Violet, Tairn, Andarna, and Xaden after Asher's letter points them toward Deverelli. The island may hold access to Narelle Anselm or to the weapon they are seeking.
Location and Access
Navarre keeps the isle kingdoms outside its ordinary coastal information routes by refusing trade vessels from them, which limits the news that can enter Luceras from the isles.
Cordyn formerly traded for Deverelli silk from the isles, but merchants have judged that route too dangerous in recent years. Navarre itself has not traded with the isles in centuries.
Jesinia identifies Deverelli as the last isle Navarre communicated with, narrowing the useful paper trail for Violet's search to a specific island connection.
Deverelli lies beyond the reach of magic and is treated by Violet's immediate circle as the most promising island route after Asher's letter, though the exact path through the isles is still unresolved.
Layout and Features
Aretia's Battle Brief map shows the isle kingdoms as five large islands and thirteen smaller ones placed around the Continent in every direction.
The Continent map available to Violet depicts the isle kingdoms in a vague, shapeless way, leaving southern and eastern island routes open to dispute when the search direction is debated.
Residents and Affiliations
Most of the isles sided with Poromiel around 206, after which Navarre severed communication with them and later emissaries were killed.
When Violet argues for a route through Deverelli and other southern or eastern isles, other squad members object that islanders may kill them, hate dragons, or would already have used dragons in an assault if they possessed any. At that point, those claims are objections raised by the squad rather than confirmed conditions across the isles.
